Kitchen total remodel
  • We are in the middle of a total kitchen/laundry room/entry remodel and plan to install Snapstone tile (already purchased) prior to putting in new cabinetry due to ease of installation, number of appliances and open area under part of the island. Is this going to be a mistake? We are putting in all new subfloor and being diligent about it being level and stable.

Thanks for any help, as this whole process seems to become more complicated the further we get into it.

    SnapStone reply:
Sounds like quite an ambitious project.

Installing SnapStone under the cabinetry isn't advised because the weight of the base cabinets and countertops may keep the floor from floating properly, potentially causing the grout to crack.

Good luck with the remodel. let me know if you have more questions.
