tile surface
  • It appears that in the final clean up of my floor, the finish on a couple of tiles has been scrubbed off in some places. Is there a repair? Sealer? Anything that can be done?

    SnapStone reply:
SnapStone tile is a very high quality porcelain tile so the finish can't be removed, butit may be residue from the urethane grout. Are the areas in question "shiny" or "dull"? Let me know. Thanks

    Michele:
    The areas are dull.

    SnapStone reply:
Try cleaning the floor with a product called Krud Kutter, it's available from most home centers in the paint section. lightly mist the tile, let it set for just a minute or so, then scrub using a white scotch brite pad then rinse with clean water. This should take care of it.

Thanks so much for your help - it worked! This is my first time with Snapstone and this type of grout, so I never imagined that the residue was grout haze. I couldn't find Krud Kutter the first time, so figured all citrus cleaners were created fairly equal - they are not. Again, thanks for your help; I'm very happy with my new floor.
