Snapstone set on the Diagonal
  • Am I right to assume Snapstone can be set in a diagonal pattern. If so are there any special tricks such as order of placement? Thanks
    Rick

    SnapStone reply:
Yes, SnapStone can be set on a diagonal pattern. There are no particular "tricks" but a diaganol pattern will generally require more cuts. One thing to consider when doing a diagonal: Attempt to layout the room such that room edges "cut through" as much of the middle of tiles as possible. That is, you don't want tiny "corners" of tile along edges. For some rooms that may be unavoidable. As with all SnapStone installations, you want to work in sequence from one end of the room to the other, and not finish in the middle of the room. See http://www.snapstone.net/documents/HELPFULTIPS1.pdf for some tips on sequence. While different than traditional tile, if you read through these instructions, it really is pretty straigh-forward. If you don't read the instructions, you may need to re-trace your steps a few times (the good news is its really easy to take apart and re-do if you get into a bind).
