perimeter

The instrucions that come with the box of tiles states in Step 11:
"The tabs along the perimeter of the installation should always be cut."
But in various answers given to customers, the CSR says the tabs don't need to be cut off on the tiles facing the walls and bathtub.
    What is the correct way?
If the plastic tabs must come off; can you just snip off the tabs leaving the plastic edging or must it be a clean finish?
    Thanks

The tabs must be removed at all perimeter gaps. Usually the perimeter has a cut tile, so the tabs will allready be removed. If you have a full tile along a wall or tub, just snip the tabs, the plastic frame around the tile can stay.
    Hope this helps.
